Stay Healthy During Winter Holidays
Enjoy good health and Festivals
Holidays and Festivals is great. It gives a time to celebrate and connected with family, friend and society. Staying healthy during the winter holidays can be challenging with the colder weather, holiday treats, and busy schedules. However, there are several ways to maintain your physical, mental an emotional well-being throughout this season. Here are some tips:
1.Daily Routine:
The holiday season is often a time of chaos, travel, and fluctuation, making it essential to keep awareness of your daily routine during this time. Keeping an optimal sleep cycle, eating in time, self-care rituals, and exercise routine is a very effective way of staying balanced throughout this season of celebration. Ideal ritual is drinking Winter Festivals Tea after breakfast and hot oil Massage.

2.Good Digestion:
During this season of parties and endless holiday goodies, it is easy to overload your digestion, leading to lethargy, toxins, weight gain, and sickness. Some simple ways to keep digestion strong are to avoid grazing, eating without hunger, overeating, and improper food combination. Eating simple, well-cooked, and well-spiced meals during this time such as Kichiri or Mono Diet (eating single food) will help give your digestion a rest, allowing it to be strong and robust for the winter holiday celebrations.
Taking a digestive aid before meals (especially heavy ones!) is another essential way to keep digestion strong throughout the season. Digestive-enhancing Ginger teas, Trikatu tea, Detoxing tea and Masala teas spices, tinctures, and tonics are wonderful friend of this time of the year.
How to eat well:
The human system is not able to eat, digest and eliminate waste properly without being consumed in the right manner. For example, grinding the food well with the teeth helps the body to extract maximum nutrition. Do not eat unless you are hungry, otherwise the elimination system becomes blocked, causing constipation and disease.
There are a number of golden rules to remember in relation to eating food. Following these rules will help the body to heal, prevent disorders and promote health, balance, peace and harmony of body, mind and emotion.
The ten golden rules of eating are:
- Digestion begins in the mouth – chew food 10 times before swallowing
- Avoid excess liquid while eating the food; only drink sufficient to allow you to swallow the food. Instead, drink 30-60 minutes before or after eating food
- Wash hands, feet, and mouth before eating food
- Eat in peaceful environment, free from anxiety and stress
- Never eat with a full stomach, and always keep one portion of the stomach empty
- Do not eat between meals
- Choose simple food; complex food is less easy to digest
- Eat the last meal of the day 2-3 hours before bedtime
- Do not eat immediately after sexual intercourse
- Eat only once or twice a day; choose fresh, seasonal foods, and where possible, eat the last meal of the day before sunset
